MLB unwilling to expand into more cities?
We all know that professional teams come and go, depending of course on the sport's standing with the fans and/or marketing.
That said:
♦ As a baseball fan, is there any chance MLB could expand into Vancouver, Canada?
It might bring in fans from the western half of this nation, and bolster an already healthy rivalry between the U.S. and Canada, but which exists really only in hockey. Given Montreal offered their city for the Expos back in '69, there already exists a healthy love for baseball throughout Canada, eh?
If not Montreal again, why not Vancouver! They've already proven they can build the infrastructure to support any pro team by hosting the Olympics. (Not to mention their NHL teams).
Lastly:
♦ If not Vancouver, Canada, why not Portland, Oregon? It's not like it would be hard to do given Paul Allen's in the general vicinity. This state is oddly just a one-pro team city with their Blazers.
