Portland International Raceway

PIR is found in Portland, Oregon south of the Columbia River separating Oregon and Washington. It was founded on a site that used to be home to the city of Vanport which was destroyed by a flood and has been holding car races since 1961. It’s an easy to find spot that is just off of I-5 and near light rail. It runs events featuring all sorts of racing cars and trucks, these include SCCA autocross, drag racing, motocross, ICSCC, SCCA, and Nascar World Series. The course is clockwise and is on almost completely flat ground. The tracks configuration can be changed, adding a famous chicane that makes for some really interesting racing.
